Plastic Free Jersey
Plastic Free Jersey is an initiative that brings together individuals, groups, businesses and organisations to reduce the amount of plastic we use. Surfers Against Sewage developed the scheme to tackle the plastic problem specifically in coastal areas.
“Our journey began in May 2018 when we started working alongside Surfers Against Sewage to certify as a Plastic Free Community. We were supported by local schools, businesses, community groups and the Government of Jersey to meet the objectives, and in December that year, Hugo Tagholm, CEO of Surfers Against Sewage awarded us our certification.”
