Young artist and entrepreneur, Taj, has been travelling around the world since the age of 9 with his family. Beginning his career at the age of 12, Taj got a number of commissions through his family’s Youtube channel, when people began recognising his artist skills and requesting personalised designs.
His 7 years spent aboard has given Taj a unique perspective on life, and has instilled in him from a young age the importance of experience over materialism. Taj uses his art to preserve his own experiences, from scuba diving to his life aboard.
Now, Taj is beginning to move into the NFT space, and successfully sold his first NFT at the beginning of 2022.
What is a typical day like for you?
Exploring remote islands, spearfishing, surfing & creating art.
When did you first pick up a pencil start drawing?
I kind of always have… I don’t remember ever not drawing to be honest. I began my business about 4 years ago, when I was 12.
What are the fondest memories from your upbringing that you feel impacted your life choices and lifestyle today?
Sailing the world with my family which has given me a unique perspective on the world.
What path did you choose after leaving school?
Since we live on a boat, my parents have been home schooling me. When my business began to grow they stopped home schooling me and let me just get on with my entrepreneurship.
What do you value most in life?
Family.
What brings you the most joy?
Spearfishing, surfing, travelling, creating art.
Who/what currently inspires you?
The future me, and my potential to grow. I want to see how far I can go.
What would you most like to change in the world/environment today?
Healthcare.
Are there any books/documentaries that have guided your thinking?
Lots… too many to name. But more-so personal experiences.
What legacy do you hope to leave?
To only live a life that gives you energy.

To do what makes your body tingle with excitement & inspiration.
