The Place I Saw From Space.
The Place I Saw From Space.
We get really excited when we’re able to work alongside organisations and individuals we can align our values and our mission with.
We spent time earlier this summer documenting the inspiring work of Space for A Better World and the Space for Art Foundation whilst resident at the incredible Como Resort Maalifushi in the Maldives. Both organisations are dedicated to inspiring people from all ages and walks of life about the ways that space technology can help save our planet.
OCL Storytellers documented the first episode of ‘The Place I Saw From Space’. A series that follows Christina Korp and NASA astronaut and Aquanaut Nicole Stott to explore places on Earth that she's only seen from space.
During the episodes we explore all the ways that space technology benefits life on Earth and how we feel that it could be the key to solving the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
We joined the team during an inspiring week at Como Resort where they lead space camps and space art activities with families, children and local communities.
Individuals like and Nicole and Christina combine their passion for storytelling and space exploration to help inspire new ideas about solutions to our planetary challenges.
Nicole is also a NASA Aquanaut after completing an 18-day saturation dive mission at the Aquarius undersea laboratory. Nicole believes that the international model of peaceful and successful cooperation we have experienced in the extreme environments of space and sea holds the key to the same kind of peaceful and successful cooperation for all of humanity here on Earth.
It was an honour to document these workshops and initiatives which have a lasting impact on many of the individuals that take part.
